Hosts Pari-mutuel Wagering for THREE Nights

The Brown County Fair will kick off THREE big nights of Harness Racing starting at 7:00PM on Tuesday, July 29 and concluding with a star studded 7:00PM program on Thursday, July 31. Purses have again been raised and the 3-day offering will be the richest in Brown County Fair history with over $150,000 in purses. The aged pace for Illinois conceived and foaled 4-year-old and up is the richest in Illinois County Fair History at an estimated $18,000. Through the cooperation of the Illinois Department of Agriculture, Balmoral and Maywood Parks in Chicago and the Illinois Racing Board, the Brown County Fair will again offer pari-mutuel wagering. The Brown County Fair continues to be the only Illinois county fair offering pari-mutuel wagering.

Chosen a few years ago as one of the Nation's "Blue Ribbon Fairs" for its first class harness racing, the Brown County Fair will continue the tradition with its richest three nights ever in 2008.
