Illinois’ Fastest County Fair Track Hosts Fantastic Racing for Two Days

The Brown County Fair will host two days of harness racing Saturday and Sunday, August 5th and 6th at 2:00 p.m.

The Brown County Fair annually hosts the best county fair harness racing in the State of Illinois and has the state’s fastest half-mile track.

The Midwest Racing Association Stakes will also return with added money courtesy of the Brown County Fair with the races now called the “Brown County Stakes”.

The Fair has held harness races on the half-mile tract since 1878, and has long been regarded as the best racing program in the area, being chosen by the United States Trotting Association as one of the nations “Blue Ribbon Fairs”.

The fair will give away more than $1,000 per day in cash prizes to racegoers.

The Brown County Fair is the place to be to see the best horses, trainers, and drivers as they make their final preparations for the Illinois State Fair.
